Supporting the Reintroduction of Bill C-72

The Connected Care for Canadians Act

Health data is the essential resource required to enable informed decisions across all domains of health service including patient care, research, innovation, management, and population health. Fragmented or inaccessible health data can lead to the harm of individuals, populations and the health system.

The Renew 72 campaign is an effort to coordinate support for the reintroduction of federal interoperability legislation (formerly Bill C-72).

Claire Snyman, Patient Partner & Chair, Networked Health BC

“As a patient with multiple specialists, medications and appointments, the flow of my health data or "patient story"  between my providers, and to me, is essential for the quality and safety of my care. I live with my conditions 24/7 and access to my health data allows me to be part of my health care team 24/7 and positively impact my own care."
